Now that we’ve shared our exciting new collaboration with the Google for Education Team with you, we’d like to share the specific details about the requirements for the
Google for Education Certified Trainer (GET) program if you are a graduate of COETAIL or a current COETAIL participant.

Integrated Curriculum
Integrated Tasks
  • Conduct 5 Google Trainings.
    • Throughout COETAIL courses 1 – 4, conduct trainings that connect with course themes. At least 2 of the 5 trainings need to be given to an adult audience in the form of a staff meeting, after school PD, or a presentation at a conference/weekend workshop.
    • In order to prepare for the case study on the GET application, compose 5 reflective blog posts that include pictures, training materials you have created for that training, as well as feedback you have received on that training.
      • These blog posts will replace 1 required blog post per course during courses 1 – 4 (leaving only 1 additional blog post for GET Candidates).
      • The case study is a series of short questions. Your responses will give Google an understanding of your training experience, including planning, implementing, evaluating, and building learning materials.
  • Trainer Video
    • Distinguish yourself by creating a 3-minute video introducing who you are as a trainer (why you wish to become a Trainer, what makes you unique and Googley) then teach the audience how one feature of G Suite, Google Classroom, Chromebooks, Chrome, or Google Expeditions can be innovatively applied in a classroom or school setting.
    • This video replaces a COETAIL assignment in course 3 of the COETAIL program.
Additional Tasks
  • Google Certified Educator Level 2 Exam
    • Demonstrate knowledge of cutting-edge strategies for integrating a wider range of Google for Education tools and technologies in the classroom.
    • Complete anytime during Courses 1 through 4.
  • Trainer Skill Assessment
    • This exam tests your understanding of the Training Course and familiarity with Google for Education. The exam consists of 25 multiple choice and matching questions. You will have 90 minutes to complete the exam.
    • Complete anytime during Courses 1 through 4.
  • Apply to the GET Program
    • Fill out the application and upload a copy of your COETAIL Certificate or Approval Letter. COETAIL graduates will be given priority into the GET program.
    • Complete anytime during courses 3 through 5.

The above requirements help you get GET status. You will still be required to fulfill all the requirements to maintain the GET status on a yearly basis.
