What you see in the video is 95% of their work from start to finish. I think a pretty amazing achievement for a class of 5 and 6 year olds working together for the first time. –

Kids can do awesome things, can’t they?

    • Hi Rebekah,
Thanks for your comments. Yes it is amazing what children can do when they are invested in what they are doing. They showed that they thought there was real purpose behind their learning so as a result took complete ownership. It was amazing to be part of.
Thanks for all your help and support and leadership throughout COETAIL – it…[Read more]

I like seeing such tangible change in how you participate online and what learning you are engaged in.

I have really been impressed with all of your contributions to the learning community. I think your comments have always been so thoughtful and a reason to believe that comment sections can be places of great learning and connections.

LOve it! What a great bunch of people and a really strong reflection about how community can make a good idea even better!

What I love about this post is that is shows all the different spaces we can build our PLN! I think it’s pretty normal to drop in and out of different communities and spaces…but there is value is nurturing connections with like-minded people. All the best.

And I hope you and Megan meet for drinks soon! Face-to-face is so much fun!

I remember that first blog post! You have really shown how transformative a PLN can be. I think you have outlined a massive change in terms of your online learning. And equally importantly, I think it shows the impact of a teacher’s PLN on student learning. Amazing stuff!

    • Thanks Rebecca. It is much appreciated. It has been such a fantastic journey throughout COETAIL. I have learnt so much from fellow COETAILers and from my PLN. I see my online learning community as a huge part of my Professional Development and I honestly do not know how I would cope with them on a day to day but also in the long term. I really do…[Read more]

I think you could be such a valuable member of the the world languages learning network. You have so many things to offer the community. It’s been a privilege to watch you become an active member of the community. Thank you for all you contribute.

    • Thanks Rebekah for your encouraging support!
I have few projects with teachers from my school and from other continent and I’m hoping to be able to share very soon about them!

I love this project, I love the grounding in your local context, and I love watching it evolve with the feedback of other teachers. I’m so excited to see the action that is generated out of this. I wish you the best of luck!

I love seeing all of your learning in all the different spaces coming together. And the words of wisdom to take your time is so important. We are building foundations here and we can enjoy the process and the journey. This was an absolutely lovely post…thanks for sharing.

    • Dear Rebekah,

Thank you so much for your comments. I enjoyed writing this post because it helped me reach clarity about how I could merge all these inspiring pedagogies together to provide meaningful and relevant opportunities for students.

Sooo cool! I love the pictures and seeing the kids and you geek out! Did they have to read the instructions in French…what motivation to figure out the language. Love it and can’t wait to hear more!

    • Hello Rebekah,
      Thanks for your comment!
Yes, instructions were in French! What’s great too was: they already knew a lot of vocabulary. My students were “using” French more than “learning French”! We had such a good time!

You know I’m proud of you! And you know that SAMR isn’t a ladder..it’s a spiral. So things that were once R are now A and then we push ourselves back up the spiral. I love the conversations you are having with people and with the way you are combining ideas. And kids blogging about improved learning is HUGE. Never underestimate the impact on…[Read more]
