I think this is such an important message @triciafriedman and I appreciate your reminder that we need to move slowly in more conservative schools (sometimes we innovators forget that!). But I am really astounded by the feedback students gave and received. Offering constructive feedback is a skill many of us work on throughout our life, but you…[Read more]

  • Our COETAIL readings are generally interesting and thought-provoking, but I think I’m more inspired by just reading all the blog posts of my fellow COETAILers!

I appreciate your honest reflection of the experience. Heeding your advice will help me move forward in my own presentations. But @triciafriedman, why were you reluctant to get feedback about the ADE showcase?

    Hi Tricia @triciafriedman

It was an interesting exercise trying to put in Kim’s talk in essay form! I hope I did a fair job of recalling of what Kim spoke about. If not, I hope…[Read more]

@triciafriedman I couldn’t agree more with many of the points you raise in this blog post. Your connection to “Blurred Lines” as an authentic, relevant way to open up discussion with students is spot on and we need to find more ways to engage with students of all ages about copyright law and alternative resources and tools to promote a thriving…[Read more]

@chezvivian Thanks for your feedback, I’m honoured to be part of the recommended reading! I think you and I are experiencing a lot of the same ‘resistance’ to Twitter, which is what prompted me to write my perspective on the importance of both. I think self-promotion and personal branding are taboos that people see as negatives. However, we live…[Read more]

    • Hi Jocelyn

Coetail involves a number of paradigm-shifts in our thinking and experiences. It’s a good time to let go of our skepticism, fears, and reluctance as we have such a supportive learning community to help us through it.

I try to encourage everyone to give new things a try during this time and to be open-minded. (There’s flipped…[Read more]
