Come Ride With Me

I constantly get questions about what it’s like to work, live, and play in Indonesia and more specifically on island of Borneo. My last post was an attempt to tell a bit of a our story using images. This post I will use a different medium, video.

If you have read this blog or follow me on Twitter (@b_sheridan) you’ve probably sussed out that I ride bikes. It’s something I love to do no matter where I am. My biking friends, many from far flung places, all ask me to describe the riding here in Balikpapan. It’s a bit difficult to do if you’ve never been to Indonesia, and more specifically Balikpapan. Whenever I visit with my biking friends I find myself telling the same stories over and over again. Each time I never feel satisfied that I have accurately conveyed what it’s like to ride here. I thought the best thing to do would be to make a movie about one of our rides. That way it would be as if they were along for the ride. Here is the result.
